The COVID19 pandemic was first detected in the U.S. state of Georgia on March 2, 2020. The states first death came ten days later on March 12. As of November 24, 2020, there were 408,644 confirmed cases, 34,268 hospitalizations, and 8,648 deaths. All of Georgias 159 counties now report COVID19 cases, with four counties (Gwinnett, Fulton, DeKalb and Cobb) now reporting over 25,000 cases each.
